Happy Wednesday everyone!
It's time to link up with me and Kristyn from Chits & Giggles!

I'm so excited to cross off another item on our list!

We booked our florist!

In all I contacted 8 florists. Yes, I know, I'm weird.

Meh, you may say I'm weird, but I say that I'm thorough and particular.

We ended up choosing the florist that has been a favorite from the start.
First of all, our florist's name is Bloomtastic. I think that's a fan-freaking-tastic name.
Second, they have rave reviews online and from my wedding planner friend in Columbus.
Third, they have worked with both the church and the reception venue, which was tough to find.
Fourth, they have a strong social media presence and their website is pretty good and definitely isn't nearly as bad as others I saw. [Yes, I'm a snob about websites and social media. I think it's an occupational hazard, but it is also important for me to see whether or not a business that focuses on a visual product invests in their web presence!
(OK, off soap box!)]
Most of all, they were responsive and willing to do what we want in our budget.

Bloomtastic was the first to respond to an initial email to set up a consultation, they were the first to give us a quote, the first to give us a revised quote based on our consultation and my second PDF of inspiration (yes I made two documents...but I'm weird, remember?), and Bloomtastic was the only florist to say that they could do what we want in our budget without sacrificing anything. That was key. I didn't like being told by other florists that our inspiration didn't fit our budget or that looking at Pinterest gave me false hope. Bloomtastic said they could do it.

Sold.

I love to look through Bloomtastic's Facebook page and Pinterest boards to see what they have created recently and for even more inspiration. It's all quite lovely, full of vibrant colors and tasteful texture.

Here's a few from their Pinterest boards:

I could keep going, but I'll just go ahead and stop there. They create beautiful bouquets! I can't wait to see what they do for us!

What are you up to this week? Have you crossed off anything on your list? Please link up!

I agree about website. It's like going to a hair stylist with bad hair, just say no. Loving your flower inspiration :-).

oh GORGEOUS! that second photo especially... swoon.

I didn't realize before wedding planning how important customer service was to me, but WHOA NELLY some businesses out there are really bad at it! We're thrilled by our choice of caterers anyway, but they were also far and away the ones (out of the three we talked to) who seemed to really want to work with us and that made SUCH a difference.

I love the purple flowers! They are beautiful. I think that if I had to pick flowers, I would do something very simple and purple would be my color!

I did pretty much the opposite with out florist, and booked ours based on the recommendation of a friend. (Although I did at least meet with one other, as well as talk on the phone with a third.) But we wanted pretty basic flowers, (only 5 bouquets and 3 corsages) so it wasn't a huge deal. If I remember, my florist had no online presence, so it's a good thing that wasn't a factor. And luckily given how little effort I put into finding a florist, I loved the way our flowers turned out.
