Happy Wednesday!

Grab the button and link up, ladies!

Whether you are a bride-to-be, former bride, ridiculously awesome wedding guest, or if you have stories to tell about weddings, you are all welcome to join Kristyn and I every Wednesday!

This week I'm happy to announce that we picked our DJ!
AND!
We also started our hotel blocks! We have three hotels within two blocks walking distance from our reception venue.

Boom.

However, I didn't realize that hotels start with a small amount of rooms and then open them up to more rooms if needed...and if they still have rooms available. This is slightly stressful, but I'm hopeful that it will all work out.

Back to our DJ. We are so pumped for the dance floor! When I chatted with Tommy Nutter of Diamond Entertainment over the phone I just had a feeling that he would be a fun DJ without being cheesy or over the top. Plus, he went through every detail of the reception and how he would handle any situation. It put my mind at ease for sure. He also has a super helpful online tool for creating a playlist so we can add songs as we think of them rather than all at once. Finally, he had a deal that we just couldn't pass up! Judging from all of this and his rave online reviews, we are confident that we are in for a good time with great tunes!

Also, Andrew overheard Tommy say, "Don't worry. There will be no Electric Slide or YMCA." Andrew may or may not have walked over and mouthed, "He's hired!"

Do you have any DJ stories to share? Please tell me...or even better, link up!

we left hiring our DJ till the last minute - thank goodness a friend of a friend is a fantastic DJ (and actually is breaking out in the London club scene, too cool) and was free for our wedding because all the companies were booked up already! eeeeek. but it will work out perfectly :)

I linked to this post in mine today, but how do we link up? I don't see a thingy... help!

I loved our DJ, but he made a huge mistake at our wedding. He kept announcing that the last shuttle was leaving...and it was only 10:30! We got married in the boonies so we had transport for everyone up through midnight, and people were getting worried and leaving the wedding! Honestly, it was kind of the worst thing that happened during our day, but enough people stayed until the end that I wasn't TOO upset about it :)

Our DJ surprised everyone by first of all playing a naff song that cleared the dance floor, then changing the song, taking to the dance floor himself and busting some AWESOME moves! We had no idea it was coming and the guests loved it.

I am just now looking at DJs. I just got a quote from one that probably will be WAY too much. I didn't realize they could go that high! I was expecting a really low price....maybe not anymore. Good grief!!
